Walk Away poem

Walk away,

Don’t look at me,

Forget the memories we shared,

The laughter and pain

that will now be erased.

Walk away.

Hide behind a smile,

If you see me walking by,

Act like I am a stranger.

It ends tonight,

No more suffering,

Screaming,

Wondering why,

Where we went wrong,

It’s all in the past.

We use to be lovers,

We use to be friends,

Now all that’s left is…

Regret.

Walk away,

Don’t look back,

Maybe someday,

This pain will be gone.

I was thinking of one of the band’s Chicago song which says “If you see me walking by and the tears are in my eyes, look away baby look away, If we meet on the street someday, and I don’t know what to say, look away baby look away, Don’t look at me, I don’t want you to see me this way” And the poem just came flowing easily.

Hope you enjoyed it~
