Would you read this book base on the cover alone? This is my favorite book, Flower For Algernon by Daniel Keyes. The first time I saw it, the first thing that caught my eyes was actually the cover, how the man and the woman are so close, the fact that they seem to be holding leaf, I wondered where they were, and then I saw the words “Flower For Algernon” and wondered who this Algernon was, then I saw the word “Charly” and noticed it looked as if a kid had written it, which made me wonder “Is Algernon a child? Who is Charly?”
I learned not to judge a book by it’s cover, the cover can just be a hint to what the book is about, but it does not make the book. I am sure there are many who would look at the cover, then scoff and put the book away without giving it a chance, but it’s an amazing book about Psychology, Romance, A mice, Experimentation and finding yourself. This book is one of the main reason I got interested in Psychology and fell in love with it.
So, to read or not to read? Now it’s your turn.
